Is it Right or wrong!!

Professionally, I am happiest when people communicate with each other (phone / email) as I am a telecom guy :-)

SITUATION 1:

Love Angle.

A friend of mine @ had been loving a girl for over 10 years (its an old story). @ loving # for 10 years has been a hidden love. # takes @ as her best friend and discusses with him on all her crushes on various proposals she receives from other guys!!

@ keeps his love to his heart (doesnt communicate it to #) for a fear of losing a good friend.

Agreed!!

But I guess even if # doesnt love @, am sure she wud not feel right the day she comes to know that @ had always thought of her as his soul mate!! Atleast she would like him to be communicative to her. Isnt that part of the friendship?

I guess so!!

So @ after a lot of push proposes to #. As expected (since his luck is same as mine :-)), # rejects and a 10 year old friendship comes to an end!!

I dont know now if that push was right or wrong!!

But atleast, now @ has saved his life from the word "KAASH" (Hindi).

Am sure 20 years from now when @ is pissed off from his then wife ;-), wud never think, "Kaash, maine # ko propose kiya hota"

SITUATION 2:

Another friend, @, as per him loves #. @ says he has family commitments and as he cant communicate to his family about #, he plans to marry a girl of his family's choice and then do something to get # back into his life.

Since I am a friend of @, I find it good for #. But I still feel if this communication happens at the right time, it would be good!!

Delaying a communication is not solving it, it is just delaying a problem (or even bigger) for a later stage.

Lets see how things move with @.

All the best to him!!

SITUATION 3:

Another friend @ is in his 8th Semester (of girl search) of Matrimony!!

So @ called me saying that he is closing in on 1 girl finally .............. @ is so happy about it ........... he finds the girl, #, intelligent, interesting, practical and beautiful i.e. all that he dreamed off!!!

As per @, even # is ok with him.

@ and # talk a lot.

Then suddenly one day, # communications stop!! Thats fine!!

@ is all confused on what to do. He tried his best of sending a communication to get her response. All other official processes are on and parents have spoken!!

No commitments have been done by anyone, anywhere!!

#, in her talks always assured that she will communicate whatever, good or bad, right or wrong, to @ as he has opened his life to her completely and so has #.

But no communication again in this case definitely kills @!!

Probably a timely "No" (if thats the case) could help him move on!!

Saves him, his family for basing their dreams on #!!

Again, nothing right / wrong .............. there could be issues (not related to this decision) at # end!! but no communication confuses all!!

So, I think, communication is important.

Sometimes delaying definitely helps (atleast in communicating problematic stuff)

But if we do a %age check, I believe, communicating in advance helps a bigger problem at a later stage!!

Or rather you just prepone a disaster for you!! But atleast you save yourself from living with fear of that danger till the time you actually face it!!

Being from sales, I play with communication and its timings only :-)

So communication, mode of communication, timing of communication, all are equally important!! But at the same time, quicker communication helps either parties understand the situation better, mutually!!

What do you say?

Btw .............. am just back from Diwali Holidays @ Hardwar!!

It was awesome ............ some 15 school friends met this time .............. probably for last bachelor diwali for most of us!!

So many photos, talks, discussions, gossips and FUN, FUN n FUN!!

Omlette of Life :-)

Mixed Emotions running with me!!

The complete body has never been so busy.

Is work making me complaint? Actually, I am not complaining but last few months have been just too hectic. And I am loving this moment!!

Work, searched work, Personal - professional pressures and more.

Life giving a perfect mix like a masala Omlette. Eggs to get the feeling of non-veg and veggies to get the feeling of veg diet as well :-)

Let me put some thoughts about majority of "transactional" stuff!!

My college, DCE ranks amongst the premier Engineering Institutes in India. The Institute has been their since 1952. With that history, the college has produced over 25K engineers.
When we were in college, we used to talk a lot about a college with such a great history has absolutely no help coming in from Alumni in any form.
It has been 6 years since then and it took me that much time to realise that I am doing nothing different.
During my last few years, I have been tried various methods to collate our college passouts in local formats in various cities that I have stationed myself. But recently, after being part of almost all available free forums, I moved back to Delhi (saddi Dilli) and made a point that I visit the campus again and remind myself of my 4 years, 4 beautiful years.
I also attended my first ever Alumni Association Annual Meet after becoming Alumnus. After getting registered to the Alumni Association I got in touch with new set of Alumni ........... super juniors and super seniors.
We decided to attempt together increase the Alumni Membership ........ my understanding, I dont want any other Ritwik with my college today or tomorrow think the same about Alumni Association as I did in the college.
I love my college and a lot of people carry the same feelings for the college.
So with the same enthu, we started our attempts. Mailing to as many as we can get in touch with.
Thankfully, we got response ............ happiness lasted only till seeing response to my mail and died after reading it!!
College mates asked:
What is in it for me?
Why should I pay (nominal fee)?
What do I get in return?

I had never thought that what should have been a first thing people should have done, probably DCE belonged more to me than to them. Convincing Alumnus to join Alumni Association (and people ask why?)

My best college buddies when asked to join the association, they ask "why?" ........... I said, "Probably, you are from the same college"

As few more enthu people said, if the Association fee was charged with admission fee, this issue would not have come.

But it is not about money at all. It is about passion / love / affection people have left for their college.

Is there a more basic reason to join an Alumni Association than that you are an Alumnus of the college.

All of us know that what we are has lots of efforts from our side and the catalysts in our lives (parents, love of life, school, teachers, college etc etc).
But somehow we still say that college did not give me anything. And they say that from the seats that have the contribution of the college's reputation / campus placements / learnings from those first 4 years out of home.

Anyways from the topic of love and affection, let me move to actual love!!

A friend (MB) of mine loves a girl for last 10 years. Girl, as obvious, has never thought of MB in any form (not even as a friend). Otherwise, MB would not have only thought of her for last 10 years ;-)

Recently, MB got in touch with the girl again. Started chatting with her .......... tried chatting from pin to plane .......... but the girl comes with standard response "hmmm" ........ so effectively MB does not get any opportunity to meet her / know her.

MB is equally bad looking as I am :-)

So a reason obvious for the girl not interested. MB says, he has never loved a girl. She is the one and only.

So MB with all his admiration over coming his feelings went ahead and proposed the girl. As expected, she rejected!!

Since MB is a fighter like me :-) ........... he moved his selfish way .......... sent mails to the girl to give him a chance and his feelings for her to result in marriage.

But the girl only got irritated ........... yes, his approach has been selfish!!

MB is a non-romantic ......... practical guy ......... he ensured that families dont get involved from either side!!

But probably he missed 1 very important thing. Is his rejection ....... as obvious as hi thinks? There could be reasons beyond looks!! Something from girl's side or issues / expectations from her side (not pertaining to MB at all).

She might have decided that she would only go as per her family's choice ......... nothing wrong about it and I personally respect that!! But how would MB guess that?

Should he be given an opportunity to express his honest feelings / plan about future together and she could help him understand her reasons / compulsions / other things .............. I don't know ............ but I don't think girls give that chance!!

Lets see how MB's love life ends ........... MB, Man no need to get disheartened .......... only thing I can say is don't lose heart and the right path of things!!

There are always things beyond control!!

All the best MB ......... :-)

HAHAHA!!

Getting off from my normal (err...... abnormal) track of lectury (new word I learnt from someone special :-)) blogs ............ something on the lighter side!!

Few incidents which bring in some good laughs always!!
- Earth hour 2009: I am all charged up sitting with my mom that we as responsible people will save energy for our future generations as a civilized and nice human beings n do something good for the Earth. So 8 PM IST I am giving all gyan to my bro in Japan n sis in Lucknow that they should also switch off all lights from 8:30 PM-9:30 PM IST. So as the clock is about hit 8:30 PM, I am getting excited to my bit of contribution to Earth Hour ............. and yeah ............. oops the power cut happens ............ Noida is gutted into darkness ............ no its not Noida Electricity Deptt giving their contribution to Earth Hour, but just a regular practice!! So my plan of contribution goes for a toss!! I am smiling, laughing ............ about what?? ............ about Noida Electricity board conveniently killing my dreams of being a responsible citizen!! :-)

- Year '03 ................. I am in my first job and on lunch with my college mate and then colleague VG ........... we are in a Chinese low grade restaurant (come on ......... we are sweet guys on our first jobs with little money) ........... so the set-up is like some 5 (4 seaters) tables, 1 waiter, 1 more customer and a small window behind which there are some chinkis making the food as per the order. So out of blue me n VG strike a cool idea of making that boring place get some good life. So both me and VG sit on a single side of the table facing that other customer. Then we start enacting as if we are not actually 2 but 4 people sitting and in front of me-VG sitting are 2 more friends whom we thought had died but then suddenly saw them in that restaurant. So we start talking to them (back from death-friends). We crack jokes in air, we give taalis in air, we pull the cigarettes out from their mouth - throw it down - extinguish it etc etc ............ the other customer and the waiter almost watered their pants ;-) ............. I hv never seen a bill coming soooooooo fast to the table :-)

- Year '04 ........... me n VG again on a rocking show ............ driving on the bike .............. me driving and VG is the pillion ............. a car is driving on our right side with the aunty watching us in weird manner ............ both of us strike with a cool idea again ............. he starts talking to a non-existent friend over his phone while I also take my phone out and start talking to another non-existent number ............. aunty (with her windows down) is now getting angry as 2 young guys on bike are talking on mobile while driving ............. so then VG takes both the phones with 1 on each ear ........... then he looks at aunty and screams over both the phones "abe tum dono ek doosre se baat karoge?" and suddenly puts both the phones over each other criss-cross :-D .......... now aunty nows that the guys are weird ............. and we enjoyed those looks!!

as we senti-mental friends sometimes say .............. wo choti choti khushiyan jinse hum jeete hein!! A close friend of mine has been searching for a bride for sometime with limited success. Reasons could be anything. Thats not what I want to tell you.
Initially, we noticed that he was very specific in terms & conditions and eligibility criteria for a bride and with time, the number of pages of his documents kept coming down!!
So we found this whole incident quiet analogous to our engineering.
Engineering College, most important year is last year!! Why?? just coz that is when you look forward for campus placements and some company finally paying for your limited knowledge and their mistake of recruiting you ;-)
So what we call as 8 semester Engineering life, 7th and 8th semesters are most important!!
In 7th Semester, all of us are like so choosy ........... "lets avoid this company, our branch is just one of the people allowed to sit.", "Not this company yaar ........ my cousin says that company is not doing good.", "not a good name of company yaar .......... what will I tell my friends, I am employed at this company?? No one will even recognise!!."
Then comes the 8th semester and we are still jobless ................ then we are like,"Any company would do man ............... need to have a job!!"
So with that description, I call my friend's marriage search entering 8th Semester from 7th Semester (i.e. now, Koi bhi chalegi .......... haan to kare!!)
Now, we have straight questions when we discuss amongst close buddies who are searching .......... which semester are you in?? 7th / 8th?? ;-)

2. A very good friend of mine went with us for a drive few years back. While chatting with her, she came with a question. She asked me, "Ritwik, which one do you think is better, love marriage or arranged marriage?"
I said "arranged". It may not be a personal choice, but an opinion I had looking at the objective of her question. She was definitely in a double mind on one of her recent love related interactions with some other guy so she just wanted a second opinion and hence the question to me.
I told her that as per me today, there is no big difference between love and arranged marriage. Most of the families are open enough on this.
I told her that as per now, difference between love and arranged marriage is only the source of prospective partner. i.e. just that in case of love marriage u introduce the guy to ur family and in case of love marriage u get introduced to a guy through your family.
In both cases you get time to accept or reject a guy. In case of love marriage, before introducing him to ur family, in case of arranged marriage, after the guy's introduction to your family. And most of the families are ok rejecting a proposal after sometime and everyone understands also.
Exceptions are always there though!!

3. Then a very mathematical discussion with another friend:
Crush + Success = Relationship :-)
Love - Success = Crush
So today whatever i look at my school time loves (success / no success is the key) they are called as Crush but yes at that time, if someone had asked me, they all very true love!!

Some Shaadi related fundas that I have come across or discussed!!

Though I believe in this section, comments from friends are more interesting that I look forward to :-D

Happy marriage!!

GAP Study!!

Since now I am part of Software Industry, the title is obvious :-)

Well the thought is very Indian and very Indian upbringing stuff!!

Most of us did our schooling at our hometowns ......... under the shelter of our parents and then moved out (from the base location) to different cities, for higher studies or search or timepass :-)

So like most of us, I also moved from Haridwar to Delhi to pursue my higher studies.
And again, like most of us, I was in Hostel!! Few of us also stay outside hostel (for fear of ragging) in private flats/apartments!!
Well, the point is that we are outside, without the protective cover / Discipline bag of our parents .

So, during the hostel life, we gained a lot of independence, decision making (as in screwing situations :-)), self appraisal, self life style, not to mention the degree (which only we know, how we earned ;-))

Next level .......... all of us either moved to next level of education / moved into the good n bad corporate world.

Cutting the whole story, all of us sometime somewhere landed into Corporate World!!

Now comes the time when we visit our homes to meet our parents/nears n dears once in a while during our busy job schedules!!

Intensity might differ but all of us know it in our hearts that we face some issues in staying there for more amount of time. Issues coz we, as per us, are mature people with own life and own way of living. So we dont like questions, timelines, rules, religion stuff, tradition!! We are cosmopolitan!!

I have been, for some time analysing why this happens and for my analysis I compare my current status with another friend of mine.

Firstly my status: I moved from Delhi to HYD (worked for 3 years) to BLR (worked for 2 years) and now in Noida. Parents stay with me now.
My Friend's status: Delhi to BLR (still working there). He sometimes comes and stays with parents in Delhi.

I feel some discomfort but my friend has terrible time!!

Are parents too demanding?? Are they too interrogating types?? Not really.

The reason that I found, which I call as the "GAP Study", is the GAP between what we are and what our parents know who we are!!
e.g. we during school were good boys/gals .......... parents always proud of us being the perfect child any parent could have in their lives!! we during period of independence become so independent that we indulge into habits which we know our parents may/may not appreciate. e.g. vegetarians start eating chicken, we start drinking, smoking, indulging into other stuff which we were told during school time, NOT TO DO!! So we being the Sindbad's of our lives explore all the NOT IN THE LIST islands!!

I am not saying what is right or wrong, I am just putting my thoughts on why do we have that discomfort with our parents.

Coz today we are different from what our parents know about us. While staying with them now we feel the discomfort of getting away from our Free Bird life. Not tthat they bind us, but think from their perspective, how many of us do share our professional or personal problems with our parents to some extent? lesser the extent, more is the discomfort since parents are not left with any other way but to ask on why, what, when, who, where!!

Since few of me and some my friends have shared may be 80% of actual lives with our parents, my comfort level staying with them is atleast 80%.

What is parents fault if they dont know about their children? Nothing. We never told them.
We have changed so much that we know that the GAP is huge and it would take tones and tones of time and effort in explaning them what we are today and why (most of us dont even remember the reasons for our changes).

I probably have been taking risks and exploring a bit on this in my case!!
e.g. I get late from a friend's party after office and reach home pretty late!! Contrary to my expectations, my mom did not call me even once asking on when would I come and where am I just because I told her in the morning that I would be at friend's party and would come late. My mom is aware that in BLR, during party at friend's place or a travel, i have driven for whole night, stayed at friend's place or came late so she knew that if there is any issue, I would call. But at the sametime, even if she had called while I was late, it would have been cause of her concern on my safety and not to interrogate!!

So as our life styles have changed as the need of today is different. Our way of living has changed since we need to be like that to have a work-life balance ........... but in this whole balancing act, we probably have forgotten about our parents and families ........... not "Forgetting" in literal terms but in terms of bring them abreast on our changes, developments, successes, failures etc etc.

So this gap ensures that we remain in discomfort and till the time we dont minimise it, it will always continue and grow bigger!!
We when normally talking on a serious note to our friends say that, "parents wont understand". But have we ever tried to make them understand!!
We can scream at our boss's in the job of giving us some high funda without explaning how it happens, then why do we expect our parents to understand our statement after our evolution of 5-6 years?

I now believe in this:
Less the gap, more the comfort
More the information, less the gap
What is right, what is wrong is your own thought. Its with you!!
What you want to tell, what you dont, its again your wish!!
Parents could understand us when we were kids. They can definitely understand us today too. Just that we need to be as expressive as we were when we were kids!!
None of the statements are 100% true. This is my thought, you may have a different opinion, a different feeling. What I wrote is my funda!! May or maynot be applicable generally.

Outlook!!

Unusual Subject and am sure not many people write on this.

The Blog is about Outlook of guys for girls ............. and trust me ........... it is all vegetarian (this is not part of my outlook ;-))

There are few grades /terminologies that guys generally follow about girls:
Girls can be classified into 3 categories by guys:
GM: Girl Friend Material
MM: Marriage Material
IM: Im-Material

Dont feel bad as terminologies may differ but girls also grade boys like that!! :-D

Also, girls can move from 1 category to other.

So I have had a history of crushes, losses, failures and few successes!! please dont take them in their literal meanings but for that point of time, all the history could be graded in those terms!!

But then 1 question that keeps me wondering, is love what binds 2 people?
In case of a couple, then I learnt what bind harder is not love!!

I recently got a new friend who is out-an-out a casinova!! and he is committed .......... and though guys are probably not as committed as girls are, this guy as per my expectation has all the reasons to loose interest in his current partner (girl friend as of now)!! But then I realised that what binds them is respect.
Girl loves the guy but guy respects the girl. So that respect would never let any girl for that matter take her place in his life!!

But again Outlook may say Love but I say, its the respect for the other person that binds them!!

Not a verdict, not a decision, not an ideology, just a thought put into a blog!!

Mumbai was rocked!!

I am sure there are so many blogs about Mumbai attacks but what I am writing here is something slightly different.

All of us are aware on what happened in Mumbai few days back.

I was travelling outside India for few Business meetings and unfortunately, my all meetings with my customers started with the topic of "MUMBAI". Unfortunate not because of I was ashamed of what is happening in India but because my mind was not letting me talk happily to the customers and still I was there doing business meetings.

About 5 months back whenever India used to have terrorist attacks, I used to feel bad about the attack as any Indian and used to think for a moment about those who lost there lives and then used to immediately call my known people in that area / city and check about their whereabouts!!
After all this, for me it was just a news and probably consumed about 20 minutes of time on that day only.

But then, something happened that changed my process of how I take news like these.

One day I was driving back from office and as usual was listening to the FM radio.
The hostess that day was talking to callers. The show was getting hosted 5 days after the recent Delhi bomb blasts in Connaught Place.

Everything on the FM calling was going fine till the time a girl called the FM station.
She started her talks with hostess with crying. Then she narrated her story over the radio which was about her acquaintance with the Delhi blasts.
The girl was about to get married and her only friend (girl) was also supposed to get married same date. Both the couples went for shopping in CP on the D-Day and then for sometime, she went with her friend's fiance to a different shop and then booooooooooooom!! the bombs went off and her fiance n her friend died!!
With this narration of her side, the girl was cryin, cryin n cryin!!

I then realised that what was just a news for me, was a complete change of life for someone.
And then I realised that I need to give much much more value to it than just a news and 10 minutes. That is the least that I can do.

Dont think that I am talking some emotional funda!! when you can appreciate Peter Parker realising that "someone else's problem" can be "his problem" when the theif he had left after the fight with bonesaw, shoots his uncle Ben, then why not us!! though we have no intentions to climb on the walls nor have I ever been to a DNA lab of spiders!!

but the point is that do all of us give the due concern to events like this? I dont think so!! I realised that after hearing the story of the girl over radio that day.

I was actually so concerned about what was happening in Mumbai that I got the guts of watching India TV kinds of news channel too outside India.
Though how irrseponsible, therereporting was something that I would talk about later but the point is that I really felt bad about what was happeneing in my country and to our people.
It affected me and so it should to all of us. Thats the least we can do being an Indian.

Then in 1 of my meetings, a customer asked me about Mumbai. The lady had told me earlier that she plans to goto India sometime.
During the meeting I asked her if she is planning to goto India anytime?? She said, "NO".
I felt bad .............. terrorist strikes had ensured that people think twice before coming to our country. I just asked her one thing, "Have you stopped going to US after 9/11?"

She dint say a word after that!!

End of the day, I took Mumbai Terror very seriously. It is happening in the country where I live. That fact makes it great enough to be worried about!!

Dost badal gaye ........... ya main

Alive for last 26+ years ........... what did I do in my life in relation to friends??

Probably did a segregation ........... of friends ............. like school friends, college friends, Sify friends, Verizon friends, Nucleus friends etc etc!!

And guess who helped me in doing that ........... probably tools like Orkut, LinkedIn!!

Coming out of the talks of IT in the world, let me come back to what I want to write.

So, as I used to brag a lot in front of my later part of life friends, my school friends core group has always been there and till date we are so closely knighted that all of us are aware about where abouts, feelings, thoughts, developments, achievements, disappointments, love angles, love failures etc etc etc etc etc ............. of each other so much that we dont feel that we have been together for last 22 years!!

But what I brag, I still believe in. But for last few weeks, my thoughts are changing, or the conditions are, or my friends are, OR IS IT ME?

A close old friend of mine (for last 22 years), recently bought a car and did not tell us. Also one of them has been going around with a girl for last 5 months and on the verge of a break-off and we came to know about this recently.

So when I asked these chaps on why didn't u tell us, they said "yaar, itni badi baat bhi nahin thi!!"

Come on guys ................. first car ............. first live-in (if I can say so) ............ are these news not BIG enough to be narrated to your 22 year old gossip group? We are friends!!

So I was angry ............. as in I really am.

But then I thought, am I expecting too much? Probably news were actually not big enough to be shared!!

Then, after thinking about their point of view, I analysed them as me!!

Even they have a classification of friends ........... school, college, room mates etc etc!!

And a mathematical formula:

Tendency of sharing stuff (anything and everything) increases with the decreasing age of the gossip group!! i.e. if the gossip group is 22 years old, you would share with them less as compared to the gossip group which is say 2 years old!!

Not that they dint want to tell, but just that they share it more with a new gossip group!!
Which I now feel is ok .............. why not?? even I have changed .............. I also tell few things to my older gossip group .................... may be not everything but yes ................ most of the things are shared with the newer gossip group!!

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE WORD "GOSSIP GROUP" HAS ABSOLUTELY NO LINKAGE WITH LITERAL MEANING OF THE WORD "GOSSIP".

So it took me sometim to find the hidden truth in me about me changing and thinking that only te world around me has!!

Dost nahin badle ................. or rather .............. SIRF dost nahin badle!!

Sab badle hein ............... but 1 thing where I still differ is the understanding of an individual about what is important and what is not .............. as per me, if I was trying on a new girl (which most of the time I am :-)) .......... is a news to be shared ............... as per few of my friends it is not .......... but guess that is what we call as an individual ............... and people have to be different from eacch other ................ otherwise .................. you become the bat in cricket ............. all looking same ............. doing the same job (I dont expect any expert cricketing advise on how and why bats differ from each other!! It is just an example!! May be a wrong one, but who cares :-))

thats it from my side ............... now its ur turn!!

Facts about Job

A saturday and me thinking about job ................ wow amazing!!

In 5+ years of my job 1 thing that I have learnt, understood and believed is that there is a personal life and a professional life ............... give ur 100% in each ................ dont mix .............. once ur out of office, u r in ur personal life .............

as one of my ex-boss used to ask me ................. when u say something as urgent, do you really mean it? If you do then not everything can be urgent.

Point is that in our history of professional lives have we ever gathered the maturity of understanding that un-necessary pressure would not yield result.

Typical syndromes that I have noticed:
- Not delegating work
- Not trusting your team after delegation
- Pressing Panic button even if there is no need
- Interfering even after delegating the work
- not waiting for the deadline but to keep checking on things even in between for a delegated work
- always being pain in the A**

I have had worked with about 5 managers till date and this blog has inputs from all of them (right!!)

A manager used to teach me on goof-ups ............ what happened if there is a goof-up? maximum what will happen? you may looseur job. Even then what? You can always find another job. You are not dead. So dont take tension and pressure.
This has made me learn one thing ............. what worst can happen if things go wrong? you always have an option to press the restart button.
This one thought gives you a lot of patience of letting things happen at their right pace and also ensure that you dont stretch stuff too much.

Another thing that my job role (sales) has made me learn is that everyone on this earth at everytime is actually doing sales ................ sales of material, service, thought, emotion, perception, perspective etc. etc.

coming back to the topic of job related syndromes ............... m sure all of us somewhere feel during our working hours that ............. "whats the hurry dude" .............. cant this wait?? i.e. when u know that things can wait ................ pressing panic button when it is not needed ............

I believe that few people in every organisation some how dont grow-up ............. though everyone in their childhood have read/heard story of the old lady and her hoax call for villagers even when wolves were not there .................. just to refresh, the villagers did not turn up when the wolves actually came in.

People with low maturity forget that when everything is escalation then nothing is, when everything is in panic then nothing is .............
People with various years of experience on their CVs miss out on this basic fact of life ............

dont you think so?

We Indians

As I write this blog, I am definately traveling ........... not showing off (its true!!) but just getting the foundation of the blog some good strength.
I have been visiting East Africa for sometime now but what I found interesting there are Indians (read ........ "roots from India")
In all my trips I have met people with roots from India (not that they are the highest branch of an eucalyptus either) .......

Scene 1:
Me: Sir, you are from India?
Mr. X: NOOOOOOOO (caps here is intentional as the guy is definately annoyed)
Me: My apologies, but your looks are very Indian
Mr. X: May be, is that a problem?
Me: Not at all Sir!!
Mr. X: Then?
Me: Asked just like that.
Mr. X: Though my parents are from India
(So u r??)

Scene 2:
Me: Hi, whats your name?
Miss Y: Its Krisma!!
Me: (smiling) Ohh, it is Karishma?
Miss Y: NOOOO, it is krisma, K-R-I-S-M-A!!
Me: You mean Karishma without the starting "A"?
Miss: Yeah ....... somewhat and IT IS NOT INDIAN

Scene 3:
Me: Hello Sir, are you ROOTS from India?
Mr. Z: Yeah ........ actually we are from her n there, my relatives are there n here .......... (the story goes)
Me: So sir, you call yourself an Indian?
Mr. Z: Not at all ........ I am a Kenya/tanzania/Ugandania - "N"!!

So the point that I have understood is ........ dont call an Indian outside India, an Indian ......... it hurts!!But why?
I always thought that why Indians are so segmeneted in the same country ........ but outside I realised that Indians are much more segregated ........ they are segregated to an extent of just not caste, but even on sirnames from a geography.
My friend in Kenya is about to miss his Diwali in India as he is in Kenya ......... so he asked Mr. Z, sir can I celebrate diwali with you ....... so Mr. Z replied, "We are 250 Patels (from a particular Geography in Northern Gujrat) .......... a small community and we celebrate Diwali between us only (meaning ........ F*** OFF)."Mr. Z was so concrete in his words that if he could have got a call from a hospital, depending on the reason he would have told us, now we are 249/251.It means, a Patel from some other geography of Gujarat, a Patel from ROI (Rest of India), a Hindu from Gujrat, a Hindu from ROI, An Indian from Gujrat, An Indian from ROI ............ no one , absolutely NO ONE is allowed ........ and this is not in India ......... a locality in Nairobi.
People always say ......... distance brings people closer ......... checking facts might help in re-phrasing this.
Not that this blog is to urge all fellow Indians across the globe to behave like brothers and sisters (barring the ones married, going around, targetting) but I AM SURPRISED ......... FOR SURE, I AM.

My Drives / Trips ............ less words, more snaps!!

In continuation of my earlier blog on my drives, I am back again with less words and more of snaps of my various in-country, out-country drives / trips!!

All in all, I can say that the time till now has been really great and the future even better!! :-)

1. Trip to Chennai and Pondichery NOV 2006:

With SB from BLR, KC and AS from Chennai. I love this trip for an amazing experience of driving on ECR (East Coast Road). The Ocean water touches the road at lot of places. Well Marked, Well defined, perfect road without any pot-holes. When we were starting from Chennai, every one told us that it would take us about 4 hours or if we drive really really fast without any traffic, it would take best-cum-best around 2.25 hours. We started with the milestone of 132 kms for Pondy and reached there in 1 Hour 20 Minutes with all the traffic and while driving back in night, we did the same distance in about 1 hour 10 minutes!! You might feel that I boast a lot about my fast driving. I am sorry to say, but you are right!!

Sitting on the Pondy beach (from left, AS, KC and SB)Pondy shores have lots n lots of GIANT CRABS (Alive). Since it had been raining for 3 days ............ the land in front of the dhaba was very muddy and since water had logged, the actual land surface was not visible. We, as the smartest racers of our time did what we were supposed to do. We drove the car in a portion which was otherwise blocked by the dhaba owner. And "Thud", the car's front wheels were in the mud pool with the land surface few inches away from the tyres!! Meaning, the Car is stuck and since it is a Fore Wheel drive, it can only work as a pump to push the mud out of the mudpool and nothing else!! So what we did was even more smarter. We sat down at the Dhaba and had the best and heaviest breakfast ever. The Dhaba guy called it a Potato-Onion Paranthas, but it actually was a Paneer Paratha with Loads of Ginger in it ............ probably I had the maximum ginger I had ever eat in my life. So after fulfilling our duties towards our ever-growing tummy's, we moved towards our mud stuck car. Dhaba guy was so cool about it and he applied all his experience (within last 6 hours, ours was the third car stuck there) to pull the car out but apart from him getting all the dirt straight from the source because of the powerful CRDi engine, he got nothing .......... LOOSER!! Yeah, right!!Anyways, a Maruti Zen with the gods in it came and dhaba guy tied the rope to the zen which pulled us out coupled with the push from the dhaba people. We were out of the mud and as a value added service, the Dhaba cook also washed our car with loads of water!! - LandSlides ........... I hope you are aware what is it. Even I was till the time I actually saw it!! we crossed almost 50 places where suddenly the flat road used to get merged with the walls of the ghat road!! Yeah the mountain portions / soil / Trees get detached from certain height and flow / fall down on the NH 22. The road was sometimes becoming narrow enough for only 1 car to pass at a time. Sometimes the forest guys with their cutters were cutting down the massive trees which fell on the road, massive enough to even crush a heavy duty truck. Sometimes suddenly on a U-Bend you could find a completely Round stone (becomes round due to the rolling friction sheering while rolling down hill) absolutely in the middle of the road. Round Stone is of a size of the car itself!!
So we have an adventerous drive uphill. One of the most different view ever was of a White TATA Safari defying gravity. When it was parked, all the 4 tyres were at the same altitude and when the landslide happened, front tyres remained at the same altitude while the back tyres went up by about 2 metres and hence the car was almost parked with its full weight on it's front bumper.

So with all those scenes, we reached Shimla. Parking was expected to be a pain and yes, it did prove itself. But we smart guys of Delhi, with some story got a nice parking near Hotel Combermere.

We went upto the Mall road ........ fortunately we had taken an umbrella along so had the vehicle for walking in the rain.

We first bought another umbrella and then took a room in Hotel Willow Bank on "The Mall". Amazing place to stay and honestly, I recommend it even when they did not agree to my commission.

So after a lot of rains and umbrella walking on the Mall Road and watching few nice faces, we had a good sleep at the Hotel and with a heavy breakfast we started back.

During our stay, we witnessed Aftab's shooting, babes in Barista, babes in ATM's, Landslides on the Mall, Institute of Advanced Studies (place where India-Pakistan divison map was discussed. Though surprised to know that Lord Mountbatton wanted India-Pakistan to be a single country. I hate myself for my History knowledge). Some scenic images and excellent wether, we started back on Sunday noon.

On the way back, we again crossed good amount of small and big land slides ........... as usual we drove at a speed of 100kmph as well in the hills and 150kmph on the planes.

Now the ordeal on our way back from Chandigarh to Delhi.

We, starved smarty's from Shimla had heard a lot about a place by name "Haveli" for roadside high value Dhaba. By the time we finished our downhill journey, we realised that the place is about 100 kms from Chandigarh and it is already 4PM!!So the starving hunks increased their speed to 150 kmph and were zooming across the crowded highway when suddenly we went over a road edge and realised that the tyre started making a sound and the car pulled itself towards it's left. We stopped and one of the worst fears of Highway Dwellers, the fron left tyre went flat!!What can be as bad as this? Worst is not seeing a nightmare, Worst is the nightmare coming true!!So, the car was not equipped with following: - Jack - Spanner (special one to open the Alloy Wheels) - Brain (of the car owner) :-)

Fortunately for us, the incident happened at a place where we were sourrounded by loads of tyre experts around. But Unfortunately, it is a sunday so shops are closed. So what we did? we ran around searching for any shop which is open and finally we found few within 0.5 kms!!Guys tried and tried but were not able to open the wheel coz the spanner never matched the size!! but after multiple permutations and combinations, we achieved success and hence we drove on!!

We reached back Noida at aroun 9:15 PM and we ended with another Journey with another long story to share with our friends!!

Few Photos for this blog are below:

My Drives!! Till now!!

Most of you might know but my 5 years of job and 2.75 years of driving my car, I have over 70K kms in my single hand driving!!
My all drives have a story of its own!! not all but I remember few important ones!!

First Drive.
I am in Hyderabad. 1st week of the car!! I call my friend Amit Prabhaker (AP) and ask him if he is free .............. a love this guy for this ............. always ready for going out!!
First trip started from Begumpet to Shameerpet ............. about 35 kms one side .................. we reached back Begumpet at around 5 PM!! but driving se pet nahin bhara!!
we looked at each other and thought ............ maza nahin aaya .......... lets go for a longer drive!! so we called our Local Colleague, Mr. Navneet Kumar Vooplanchi. Asked him ......... we wanna a slightly longer drive, what do you suggest?
He said ........... Nagarjuna Sagar Dam chale jaao ............... humne poocha ki kitni door hai? He said about 160 kms ........... we again looked at each other and decided that we will go .......... we were not close to our homes. Just asked Navneet the Highway that we need to take!!
with that information .......... we thought why to waste time to go home and pick clothes ......... decided that we would pick clothes, towels on the way ............ thats what we did!! Started at around 7PM and reached hotel at around 10 in the night!!
wonderful trip ............. almost 350 kms is what we covered!!

So, 1 trip to Nagarajuna Sagar Dam.
next trip to Machalipatnam from Hyderabad - 830 kms
next trip from HYD to Kurnool and Belum Caves - 750 kms
next trip to Nagarjuna Sagar Dam again with Mom - 350 kms
next trip from HYD to Srisailam with Mom - 550 kms
next trip from HYD to Machalipatnam - 830 kms again
next trip from HYD to Bangalore - 1200 kms
next trip from HYD to Bangalore again - 1200 kms

then I changed my job and came to bangalore ............ so travelled another 600 kms 1 way!!
I started from HYD at 6PM for Bangalore along in my car with my stuff stuffed in the car!! I was driving in the night on a lonely highway all alone!! ............... around 40 kms ahead of Anathpur ........ I see something moving on the road ............. I put multiple flashes, no reaction ............. I apply brakes n horn at full intesity ............. the car is screeching and honking and moving towards that moving object!! .......... it is an highway with barren land around!! .............. wow!! it is a villager crossing the highway as if he is walking in a garden ........... they guy does not hear the horn, nor the brakes, he ignores the light of the car as well ............. it is 9 in the night!!
boom ............. the guy gets hit first by the left bumper, takes a arial somersault, rests his hand on the corner of my windscreen ........... I see pressure of his hand cracking my car's windscreen .......... the crackes propogate through the complete glass and i start boiling .......... the guy takes another round over my roof and falls on the road ............ his villager friends come running .............. I stop my car ............. come out really smoking!! ............. his Hindi speaking friends tell me not to worry nor be afraid!! .............. I say, I am not worried or scared but feel like slapping ur friend ............. the guy is alive with some blood comoing from his head ........... I ask him and his family to sit in the car ........... took them to the hospital ............... drove back 40 kms to anathpur .................. with 7 people in the car apart from me .......... the car has capacity is what I realised then!! ................ got the guy checked at a small hospital then ............. my bank account was towards Chapter 11 (read about Lehman Brothers) .............. so on the way I called my friend sidgu in Bangalore who helped me and transferred some currency into my dry account ........... I paid the hospital bill ............ everyone except me got benefitted from this ........ the doc said that he would have to keep the guy under observation for 2 days ......... so I paid 2 days rent ............... they the villagers decided that they would like to take injured back home!! the guy was so damn drunk that he was drowsy even after 1 hour of accident ............ so the doc was not sure if medicines have worked on him or not!! so the doc earned his 2 days of room rent .......... i gave some money to the injured guy as he has small children at home!! ............ the guy had a dislocated clavicle (collar bone) ............... so I left him at his home and started my journey again by 1 AM .............. reached Bangalore at 3AM after actually killing a dog!!

So now I am Bangalore.

Once I reached Bangalore, my elder bro's marriage was round the corner ............ my mom did not deny my suggestion of getting my car for my bro's marriage ............ by the way the marriage was in Haridwar (Uttaranchal) .............. so my mom n my bro travelled to Bangalore and we started for Hardwar (or Haridwar).
The drive of about 2800 kms from Bangalore to Haridwar took 3 days .......... 3 nights sleep too ....... almost 36 hours of driving ............ Bangalore ---> Anantpur ---> Kurnool ----> Shamshabad ---> Hyderabad ----> Medchal ----> Nizamabad ---> Adilabad ---> Nagpur ---> Sagar ---> Jhansi ---> Gwalior ---> Agra ---> Delhi ---> Meerut ---> Muzaffarnagar ---> Roorkee ---> Hardwar
amazing drive ............. u wanna see India ............. take this drive!! you would again fall in love with India .........
touching 7 states and 1 Union Territory ............. karnataka > Andhra Pradesh > Maharashtra > Madhya Pradesh > Uttar Pradesh > Rajasthan > Delhi > Uttaranchal

and the the same drive back ............... so the round trip ................... total of 5600 kms!! drive of a lifetime!!

3rd weekend in Bangalore and I am pissed off with my stay in city over weekends ........... this time I have a time of 4 days ............. 2 holidays also with the weekend.
10 AM on Saturday morning .............. I am online, chatting with my first room mate in Bangalore, Sushant Pattnayak (SP) (who was not room mate that time) ................ we stay about 5 kms away from each other ............ then we chat on what are we doing .......... I tell him that I am getting bored ............ how about you?? SP is also getting bored ............. lets go for a drive ........... How bout Nandi Hills? SP says ................ thats like 70 kms roundtrip ............. bad idea ........... dropped ............. how bout Pondicherry? SP suggests again ................ no yaar ........... it will be hot this time ........... then where?? SP asks .................. how bout Goa?? .............. SP thinks for about 10 sec and then says .............. chal!! (I love SP too for this!!) ............. kitna rokra (money) lagega? I have only 2.5K in my A/C!! SP said .............. I also have only 4K in my A/C ........... lets go ......... so we decided to start by 12 noon.
While I am getting ready ............ I call Abhinav Banerjee (AB) and this guy has hats-off enthu .......... he says, OK .............. he gets another common friend Nikhil Singhal (NS) ready and we are off to Goa by 1 PM ............. amazing trip.
So round trips from Bangalore are:
BLR - Goa (SP, AB, NS) : 1500 kms
BLR - Belum Caves (Jibitesh Swain, Priyanka Panda, Nikhil Kumar): 500 kms
BLR - Coorg (JS, NK, Prabhash Jain) : 800 kms
BLR - Pondicherry (Swapnil Bhatnagar) : 900 kms (amazing drive on East Coast Road)
BLR - Yercaud (SB, AB, Rahul Godara) : 500 kms
BLR - Hampi (JS, SB, AB, Punit Sharda, Ashish Agarwal, Abhishek Thakur) : 850 kms
BLR - Bellary (JS, PP) : 850 kms
BLR - Hampi (with Mom) : 850 kms
BLR - Munnar (JS, PP, AB) : 1250 kms
BLR - Goa (JS, SB, Rajesh Pujahari) : 1500 kms
BLR - Wayanad (JS, PP, NS) : 550 kms
BLR - Wayanad (with friends) : 550 kms
BLR - Wayanad (with family) : 550 kms
BLR - Yercaud (SB, PS, RG) : 500 kms
BLR - Yercaud (with friends) : 500 kms
BLR - Yercaud (SB, PS, AB) : 500 kms
BLR - Goa (AB, Ankur, Salil) : 1500 kms (I hit my under chassis - Gear Box Casing)
BLR - Goa (SB, AB, Chetan Indolia, Ashit Baijal) : 1500 kms
Last drive from Bangalore is while changin my next job ........... so I again drove back to Haridwar to Delhi
BLR > Hyderabad > Nagpur > Sagar > Jhansi > Gwalior > Agra > Delhi > Hardwar > Delhi : 3000 kms

so lots n lots of driving till I was having my free bachelor life in hyderabad and bangalore.

Now I am in Delhi staying with my family ............. have I stopped?? No!!
I have been in Delhi to 2.5 months now (about 10 weekends), I have stayed in the NCR region for only 3 weekends ........... otherwise travelling ........ sometimes by car
Delhi - Haridwar (twice) : 220 kms
Delhi - Jaipur : 600 kms
Delhi > Lucknow > Gorakhpur > Allahabad > Lucknow > Delhi : 3000 kms

The last trip mentioned above we had another experience ............ my, my mom n my younger bro were driving from Gorakhpur to Allahabad in day time .......... due to road quality it took lot of time .......... so as sun went down .......... we touched the limits of the MOST NOTORIOUS AREA in India .............. AZAMGARH ............. and the experience in night on those road could be really sad ...............
I generally drive fast but safe (atleast I feel :-D) ............. so I was driving at 120 Kmph when I was trying to overtake from a black safari who suddenly turned right the moment I was crossing ........... i thought a typical road ego could have made this happen ............ so I sobered down by giving horn, flash and tried again ............ again the guy suddenly moved to right lane (road without divider) ............. then we realised that it was a convoy of 3 cars ............ 2 black n 1 white SUV ............. some different kind of numbers ...........
After few attempts we observed that they are driving in a formation with first car towards the extreme left, second car in the middle of the road and the last one on extreme right ......... the the last car used to come to left lane only when there is any vehicle coming from opposite direction.
So now as a humble guy i tried again .......... slowly ............. this time the window of the back seat on the left came down ........ and a face came out of the window and started observing my car and the number ( it is a AP registration vehicle) .............. still not realising the risk, I tried again ....... this time a nozzle of a typical long gun came out of the window along with the head (thank fully not pointing towards us) ................... we were then like ................ hang on!! ........... we slowed down our car like Delhi city limits and let those guys go ahead ............... creating huge distance ........... and only then we moved ............... so this is what I call as "Uttar Pradesh Experience"

In major changes .............. gear box casing changed ............. twice the wind screen changed (only 1 due to accident) ................ brake shoes (multiple times) ........... clutch and pressure plates .......... wiper blades ............ tyres .............. tubes .................. fog lamps (4 times) ............ side rear view mirror once!! so all in all a nice drive!!

- Any takers if I wanna sell my car?? ;-) though I dont intend to at all

Disclaimer:
The distances mentioned above are approximate and include local travel as well. I can not be hold liable for any misrepresentation of distances, if any. :-)

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://ritwikbisaria.blogspot.com/2008/09/my-drives-till-now.html' title='My Drives!! Is it too much?? Looks like .............. but when u see others in their corporate life, u know that there is still a lot which needs to be done!!

3rd company in 5 years ............ career graph speaks ............ 3 years with Sify, 2 years with Verizon and now with Nucleus. Experience of 5 years in Telecom, and now in Banking!! what has remained in common is only corporate sales.

But going through the experiences and changes, few things that I have learnt:
- Change with a clear view of the next change
- While Changing ensure that the profile is offered as what you wanted (exactly)
- Company's financials dont matter. You get your salaries at the end of month (generally correct since I write this during the Lehman Brothers issue)
- If you can find, check on the culture of the organisation in advance ............ this could be a serious challenge!!

But few things that I very strongly feel now are:
- people who move up the ladder the wrong way, stop somewhere so dont get bothered by them
- never take pressure. what maximum can happen? you would loose your job?? you can always find another one!!
- If you are good, you are a hot cake!!
- Personal creditibility is very important. It is the only thing that works externally and internally so well.
- Always keep your personal and professional network alive. Never use your personal network for your own job and never use your professional network for job of your friends.

Lot of time me n my close friends discuss on a very debatable topic:
What is success? How do you measure success?
As per me, might sound very bad but, I would see my friends with similar education levels from similar colleges earnings!! that is the only thing that you could quantify.
Job role, Job satisfaction is so subjective that you can keep on doing study on the reasons why are others satisfied or happy with their roles!!
apart from the quantifiable money, you should be happy with what you are doing!! Also, one should remember that you deserve sometime with yourself. Started residing in HYD with 1st house in Panjagutta, a scary 7th floor house. A single house at the top of a residential complex and trust me the scariest one. Then moved to C 40 in Majestic Mansion in Begumpet. House owner Mr. Venkat was a nice guy but my then roommate, Mr. Vinay Ghai from DCE (Mr. is not out of respect, but with Sarcasm :-)). Ghai sahab was a roommate, is a friend and a great collegue. He was also part of the Sales Engineers in Sify but in Enterprise Applications division.
Then, we moved into 305 where ICFAI guys Mayank n Anuj were staying with our sweet champu GE friend, Mr. Puneet Sharda. A house which had the facilities generally un-available in Bachelor houses. We had a working Kitchen and cook (Amma) and another maid for cleaning and washing clothes. As a bachelor, I can still say, "the life became much simpler".
Then my 2.8 years in 305 saw people changing:
- First Vinay got a transfer to Delhi since his mom wasnt keeping well n he wanted to study for his MBA
- then Puneet moved out went to kolkata for sometime. during the same time Mayank and Anuj also moved out. Mayank n Anuj helped us unknowingle seeing few nice babes in HYD when Preet used to come to house to visit them!
- Then I had to quickly search for new 5 bachelors for this 3BHK flat.
- Luckily got to meet Shishir Maithani from DCE who was working in Polaris that time. My best ever Sales pitch ;-) helped me convincing Shishir, Hemant Diwedi, Ravi Panjwani and Himanshu Shah (all working for Polaris) to move in with me. 305 somehow survived in my life n in this Blog.
- Then the life was good. All of us had a really good time and enjoyed our lives of 305.
- Then one day Hemant moved to Chennai with CTS.
- Then Mr. Siddharth Khanna, another DCEite, was also moving to HYD from MUM. Panju n him were close because of their intial training at Polaris. Khanna is with Oracle
- Khanna moved in n we were again 5 people.
- Same time we got our cute elder friend Mr. Srinivas Kandala, hailing from Orissa n working for Polaris and loves giving gyan about "blody Indians", also into 305. Zindagi mast ho gayi thi. All of us combined had a great time.
- Then aftersometime, Kandala went onsite.
- Then for few months my childhood friend, Hemant Kumar Singh (Babu) came to stay with us. This is when me, babu, panju and Chirag Dhingra (a.k.a. chiggu - another childhood friend) went to Machalipatnam on bike.
- Then Kandala followed.
- The shortly Panju also went onsite. All these guys went to UK.
- Now it was me, khanna and Himanshu Shah left in the house.
- Khanna got hold of Shakeel Kadam from Pune, working for Oracle, to come in. He is a guy who is the best when it comes to enjoying and chilling in life.
- Shortly another DCEite, Mr. Siddharth Gupta also joined us.
- Then Shakeel left for MUM
- Himanshu also changed his job n went to Gurgaon.
- Now was the time of making mistake. and Bingo, we did. We got Mr. Srikanth (on high recommendations of Amit Prabhaker) also into our House.
- Differences started creeping in.
- Sidgu moved to BLR and then I got Aniruddha Baskaran from Sify into 305.
- Then I left with Siddharth Khanna missing all of us like anything. so I do keep visiting him as n when I find time!! Me and Khanna got into a great friendship once all others had left 305.

BUT ALL IN ALL, 305 is a memory/phase of my life which can never be replaced.

btw, in the pic u see khanna n me playing carrom.

My First Job

This is where I spent my 3 years in Sify Limited, Hyderabad. Started as a Sales Engineer Trainee - Enterprise Solutions on 6th August 2003. Moved to Account Manager 2A in August 2004 (1 year probabtion). Was then promoted to Account Manager 2B in March 2005 and was promoted to Key Account Manager in October 2005. Left Sify on 25th July 2006 as Key Account Manager handling the biggest customers for Sify in Andhra Pradesh. Sify has taught me a lot and I dont lie when I say that. "I thank Sify for making me what I am."

Though 2 people who made my career were:
1. Cherian Thomas - The Regional Manager when I was the Key Account Manager who trusted me at every point and had given me the fredom to handle my customers the right way! Thanks Sir.
2. Ramesh Kumar - My first boss. The reason I have put him 2nd in line is because there is so much to write about him that Cherian's paragraph would have gone un-noticeable. My fist boss, the reason for me where I am today. The reason for me what I am today. A person who guided me whenever I needed the help, who gave me the opportunity to fall and learn from my mistakes. A person who told me that Sales people are also Ethical. A person who told me how to present what you want to communicate. A person who took bold decisions like,

When all other Sales Engineer Trainees were pushed by their bosses to do 15 calls in a day, Ramesh sir was ok with me doing 3-4 calls in a day

When location heads were sent for ISO training, I was the only Sales Engineer Trainee who was sent by his boss to get trained on ISO

When other Sales Engineer Trainees were leaving their jobs, he, while quitting, ensured that organisation gets to know the potential and starts giving me bigger roles and responsibilities

Result : When all other sales engineer trainees in total nationally did 20 laks of business, I did 40+ lakhs alone. When all other sales engineer traines nationally did 32 lakhs, my numbers were close to 95 lakhs. When the senior Account Managers who used to do Annual bookings of 3.8 crores in bigger markets that HYD, I used to 4.3 crores.
